Together We Can Fill the Western Sky
Beginning in fiscal year 2020, Chancellor Kelli R. Brown outlined strategic priorities for Western Carolina University.
When you give to Western, you support initiatives and student resources such as:
- Undergraduate and faculty research
- State-of-the-art facilities
- Outdoor classroom experiences
- Study abroad and study away
- College and departmental funds
Through the generosity of our donors, we will be able to address numerous facility enhancements, including:
- Academic and Student-Athlete Development Center
- Sports Performance Center
- Sports Medicine Suite
- Press Box and Premium Seating in Whitmire Stadium
- Reconstructed East Side of Whitmire Stadium
- Field Sports Building to replace Camp Gymnasium
- Football Locker Room and Meeting Rooms
- Golf Short Game Facility
- Baseball Clubhouse
- All-Sport Indoor Facility

Our Campaign Steering Committee
Working alongside senior leadership, this dedicated team will not only drive the priorities of the campaign through its various phases, but they’ll also advocate within their networks; support cultivation, solicitation and stewardship efforts with prospects; and serve as campaign accountability partners and ambassadors for WCU.

Cullowhee Giving Society
The Cullowhee Society recognizes donors or organizations with cumulative cash giving of $100,000 or more. Comprised of four giving circles, the Cullowhee Society emphasizes the transformative power of philanthropy and its role in propelling WCU’s vision to be a national model for learning and engagement, as an important, regional university.
Each year, corresponding native plant species will be added to campus, as a symbol of this philanthropy impact.
